Neck Pain Relief

Muscles, tendons, nerves and the cervical spine can all contribute to neck pain. When neck pain becomes chronic, it can interfere with your quality of life and make completing everyday tasks difficult. At Medici Orthopaedics & Spine, we help patients suffering from chronic neck pain by identifying the source of the pain and creating an effective, non-invasive treatment plan to give them relief.

Causes of Chronic Neck Pain

The cervical spine, musculoskeletal and nerve system in the neck are vulnerable to damage. The neck has very little support and carries a heavy load. A wide variety of factors can be involved when chronic pain stems from the neck area. Some of these include:

  • Repetitive motion or positioning (text neck, workplace injuries)
  • Degenerative disc disease
  • Herniated or bulging discs
  • Pinched nerve (cervical radiculopathy)
  • Cervical spondylosis, bone spurs or osteoarthritis
  • Whiplash or other neck injuries

There can be so many different causes of neck pain, that it may be difficult to diagnose. In many cases, there is not a “mechanical” issue that can be identified, but there may be inflammation or other issues impacting the nerves. Diagnostic testing and injection treatments help determine the likely cause of neck pain to formulate an effective treatment plan for long-term relief.

Treatments for Neck Pain

Our medical team at Medici Orthopaedics & Spine uses a multidisciplinary approach for treating chronic neck pain. We begin with the diagnostic process to pinpoint the source of pain and offer various conservative treatments for relief. Our non-invasive methods include injections, myofascial release, physical therapy and medication management. If there are mechanical issues in the cervical spine causing chronic neck pain, and the patient does not respond to conservative treatments, we may recommend minimally-invasive endoscopic spine surgery.

You do not need to live with chronic neck pain. Contact us at Medici Orthopaedics & Spine to schedule your first exam and consultation with one of our pain specialists.

Related Conditions & Pain Sources

At Medici Orthopaedics & Spine, we know that pain often involves more than one area or condition. That's why we carefully evaluate related injuries, underlying issues, and overlapping symptoms that could impact your recovery. Exploring these related conditions helps us build a more accurate diagnosis and a more effective treatment plan tailored to your needs.

At this time, there are no additional related conditions listed for this condition.
Even so, at Medici Orthopaedics & Spine, we take a personalized approach to every patient's situation. Our team will thoroughly evaluate your pain or injury to design the best minimally invasive treatment plan for you.

What our patients say

Kevin Madden

Love Dr. Sonny and his practice. I appreciate the time he takes with me. I would rather him run late and take his time with me than rush me through. Pain is not something that’s a pleasure to deal with. I appreciate his knowledge and compassion. The surgical center is great too. Their staff is so caring! Thank you Dr. Sonny!

Dr. Sonny and his staff are incredibly compassionate. They offer solutions that promote healing and support a healthy lifestyle. I trust them because I see the results in my life but mostly because they care. They know me by name. I cannot recommend this practice enough.
