From Marine Corps tank crewman to hyperbaric healing specialist, Dee Plew brings decades of critical care, calm leadership, and a passion for service to every patient he supports.
Originally from Miami, Florida, Dee Plew has dedicated his entire career to helping others — whether in combat zones, emergency rescues, or hospital operating rooms. After high school, Dee enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a Tank Crewman (MOS 1812), operating M1A1 Abrams tanks during his deployment to Iraq.
Following his service, Dee earned a degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Miami (Go Canes!) and became a licensed paramedic in 1997. His dedication led him into critical care, becoming a certified flight medic and critical care medic in 2005. He retired from the fire department as a Lieutenant — but his mission to serve never stopped.
Dee’s interest in hyperbaric medicine was sparked by a personal cave diving incident at Devil’s Den, which introduced him to the healing power of oxygen therapy. This experience changed the course of his career. He returned to school once again — this time becoming a cardiovascular perfusionist, supporting open-heart surgeries at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.
In 2024, Dee became a Certified Hyperbaric Technician through the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology. Today, he brings his critical care background, calm under pressure, and deep knowledge of physiology to the Medici team — where he helps patients heal from chronic pain, tissue damage, and injury through cutting-edge oxygen therapy.
Dee’s approach to care is informed by years of hands-on experience in high-stakes environments, a sharp scientific mind, and a lifelong commitment to protecting and healing others. Whether he's operating hyperbaric chambers or helping patients understand the science behind their treatment, Dee’s presence brings confidence, compassion, and capability to every session.
