Here's how the process works:
- Initial Consultation
We evaluate your condition (typically chronic back or nerve pain) and determine if you're a candidate. If you’ve tried other treatments without lasting relief, you might benefit from SCS. - Trial Placement (Minimally Invasive)
Under light sedation, we insert temporary leads near your spinal cord. These leads are connected to an external stimulator that delivers gentle electrical impulses to interrupt pain signals. - Test Phase (5–7 days)
You go about your daily life while tracking pain levels, mobility, and quality of sleep. Most patients feel significant relief during the trial. - Decision Time
If the trial provides at least 50% pain reduction, we can proceed with a permanent SCS implant.
