A spinal cord stimulator (SCS) trial is a temporary, minimally invasive test to see whether neurostimulation can reduce your chronic pain. During the trial:
- Thin leads are placed near your spinal cord under local anesthesia.
- A small external device sends gentle electrical pulses to interrupt pain signals.
- You go home the same day and try it out for 3–7 days.
- If you experience significant pain relief, you may opt for a permanent implant.
Our patients appreciate how empowering it feels to “test-drive” their relief before making a long-term decision.
